t shirt

holy crap chris ive thought the same thing for so long about the whole band tee shirt. i keep thinking its like this: why do people where blink 182 shirts to blink 182 concerts? i can understand if you buy them at the show then wear them but people who show up with them are retarded. if you wear a band t-shirt, its to promote/support that band. first of all, at a concert everyone paid for the ticket, so everyone there is supporting the band, and second of all, everyone there already knows who the band is and pretty well for that matter, so you're not really promoting them. so i just think its pointless and foolish. thats my 2 cents....

Re: t shirt

yeah, i always thought that too! i never wear the t-shirt of the band im going to see! especially of they are the headlining band!! i occasionally wear the t-shirt of the support band if they are not well known! cos its really annoying if u show up somewhere and everyone is wearing the same t-shirt!!!!!

the only thing i sort of disagree with is the last point, where chris says "once you get your autograph or photo, walk away...etc." i mean, im not saying you should expect to talk with them for 20 min, but i dont think that the band should be rude to you. when they are at a concert, they're at work, and their fans paid alot of money to come see them play, and i would be offended if a band acted like they were too good at least to have some sort of human/friendly interaction with me. if you saw a band member not working, like out somewhere, i dont think its right to bother them, but while they are at a concert, they should at least be nice to the people who are making them rich and famous.

agree...i met blink for the first time at the blink/nodoubt tour and it was awesome after being a fan of them for years. it was at a meet and greet and i spoke with travis and tom...actual 15-20 conversations, it was rad. but mark had this some what "cocky" look to him that when i spoke to him he didnt really say much. shit, ive bought almost anything that has to do with blink for the past 6 years...hes getting rich off of people like me. he could have at least said something more than just hey thanks for coming. Anyways...another good way to meet blink is to check out the small bands playing before the show cause usually travis goes out to support them. and talk to travis he is truely the nicest "famous" guy ive met and ask him if he could hook you up with a meet and greet or something (thats what i did)...just dont try to suck his balls for it. later
-=john=-
p.s. i agree with the whole tshirt thing. the best thing to wear if you meet blink is something like atticus or macbeth, tom complemented my clothing.

T-shirt

I think it's so awesome that you got to meet them! I went to the No Doubt/Blink 182 show in San Francisco, and I wore all Macbeth and Atticus clothing too, I remember laughing at all the people who wore Blink 182 and No Doubt shirts.

Re: T-shirt

macbeth shoes are pretty bad quality. i dunno why anyone would wear/support them. and for those eliot models, just get converse. why get a shameless rip-off.

atticus has some pretty cool stuff, though. funny how the same bigwigs head two very different companies (crappy and cool)

maybe mark is nervous around fans? i don't think he would intentionally be mean and "cocky" to his fans.
and is it okay to ask for a meet and greet pass? is that rude? i would be really nervous about asking for a meet and greet pass..
